The White Township Supervisors met Wednesday afternoon and rejected plans to install a light-up sign near the municipal building on Indian Springs Road.
Proposed plans would have the light-up sign sit on top of the decorative sign for the municipal building at a cost of about $15,000. But by a vote of 4-1, the board rejected the proposed plan. Supervisor Gail McCauley said the sign did not fit in with the township’s look.
In other business, supervisors approved a preliminary plan for a memorial plaque for the late Bob Overdorff, who was a former supervisors board president. That plaque will be installed near the flagpole at the Township Recreation Complex, and it could be another two to three months for the plaque to be installed.
