Today on U-92, the IUP Men’s and Women’s basketball teams will host California University at the KCAC.
The IUP women are coming off a home victory against Clarion on Wednesday that broke a three-game losing skid. This will be an NCAA Tournament rematch of sorts as last year, IUP lost to Cal 52-51 in the opening round of the tournament on a last-second layup by Cal’s Ciara Lloyd.
Meanwhile, the undefeated men’s team is coming in off an 87-55 rout of Clarion on Wednesday. The Cal men’s team is looking to take out some frustrations on the Hawks, as the Vulcans lost by one point to Mercyhurst on Wednesday. Despite the perfect record, IUP is 1st in the NABC Coaches poll, but slid to 2nd in the D2 SIDA poll.
