The Pitt men’s basketball team returns to the Petersen Events Center tomorrow in search of their second straight win over Florida State.
Pitt is fresh off a 75-54 win over last place Louisville Wednesday night in Kentucky. In the game, graduate student Jamarius Burton notched his first career double-double, scoring 10 points and posting 11 assists. Fellow graduate student Greg Elliot shined in the game too, going 9-of-12 from the floor with 23 points.
Pitt is on the cusp of its first winning season since the 2015-16 season, when the Panthers clinched a NCAA playoff berth after posting records of 21-12 and 9-9.
Coach Jeff Capel said he’s noticed a difference in this year’s squad.
Because of Renda Media’s coverage of the NFL playoffs, the Pitt/Florida State game tomorrow afternoon will not be aired on WCCS.
