The post season awards are beginning to come in for the IUP basketball teams as the PSAC announced its all-stars Thursday.
On the men’s side, Malik Miller and Armoni Foster have been named to the first team, while Ethan Porterfield is tabbed the Freshman of the Year and Miller is the West’s Athlete of the Year.
On the women’s side, Lexi Griggs, Justina Mascaro and Natalie Myers made the first team, with Griggs named the Defensive Player of the Year. Coach Tom McConnell is the Coach of the Year for a third straight time.
Both teams are gearing up for semifinal games Saturday against East Stroudsburg at different locations. The men’s game is set for 1 o’clock at Shippensburg University, while the women are playing host to the tournament at the KCAC, with a start time of 3: 30 p.m.
The pregame show begins at 12:30 p.m. on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com, with an advancement to the championship game, Sunday at 3 o’clock, on the line.
