PennDOT has announced that there will be a lane restriction in place starting next week on a portion of Oakland Avenue.
The single-lane closure will begin on Monday and run from 7 AM to 4 PM until Friday, March 13th. Crews with Gulisek Construction will conduct drainage replacement operations on Oakland Avenue between Rustic Lodge Road and Day Drive as part of the $19.83 million Route 286/422 widening and resurfacing project. At least one lane of traffic will remain open during the construction.
The project will include widening both 286 and the 422 interchange, replacing a bridge that goes over McCarthy Run Creek, and install sidewalks along 286. Other work includes drainage and guide rail updates and traffic signal replacements.
