Two Clarksburg residents were taken by ambulance to Forbes Regional Medical Center in Monroeville Saturday evening after a two-vehicle collision on 5th Street in Avonmore Borough.
State police say 60-year-old Margaret Brooke and her passenger, 61-year-old Carl Durand, were injured when Brooke’s vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Dawson Shondelmyer of Avonmore. Shondelmyer was not injured.
A Cherry Tree man was injured Saturday morning in a front-to-rear collision on the Patchin Highway in Burnside Township, Clearfield County. Police say 27-year-old Joshua Scott was slowing to make a left turn into a private driveway when his car was hit from behind by a car driven by 27-year-old Kyle Hauck of Ebensburg. Scott was transported to an unspecified medical facility for evaluation of back pain. Hauck was not injured.
