State police have arrested someone from West Virginia in East Wheatfield Township on drug-related charges on February 25th. Troopers say that 18-year-old Jacob Beach of Bunker Hill, West Virginia was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance while being investigated in connection with a suspicious vehicle report in the area of Gas Center Road and Route 22. He was charged with drug possession along with DUI and driving on a suspended license. He is free on $5000 bond.
State police are investigating a theft that happened in East Wheatfield Township. Troopers say that this happened at a location on East Philadelphia Street Extension, as someone took the tailgate off of a pickup truck of a 60-year-old Johnstown man. The tailgate was valued at $300. The investigation is continuing.
Police are still investigating a theft that happened on February 10th at the White Township Walmart. State troopers say that at 1:13 AM on February 10th a man and woman entered the store, and placed several items into a cart, then walked out of the store without paying for the items. They were seen loading the items into a U-Haul pickup truck. Police say the thieves made off with food items, a coffee maker, a cricut machine, a DVD, a fabric basket, kids medicine, and a puppy training pad. The investigation is on-going.
