In addition to the signing of Andrew McCutchen, the Pirates reached several deals with arbitration-eligible players on Friday.
They are pitchers Mitch Keller, who will earn a little over $2.44 million next season; J.T. Brubaker, who will earn $2 million; Duane Underwood Jr., who will earn $1.025 million; and Robert Stephenson, who will earn $1.75 million.
Newly-acquired first baseman Ji-Man Choi did not reach arbitration with the Pirates. The Pirates acquired Choi from Tampa Bay in November in exchange for minor leaguer Jack Hartman.
Both sides now head to an arbitration hearing.
