On Saturday, the Indiana County chapter of the NAACP will hold a special program to pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Luncheon and Program will be held on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Graystone Presbyterian Church. Carolyn Princes from the NAACP said that King’s legacy was that of an ordinary man who was able to do extraordinary things.
As part of the program, guest speakers will include Bishop Melvin Jenkins of the Victory Christian Assembly, Ira Redd of the Community Guidance Center and Indiana School District Superintendent Dr. Michael Vuckovich.
Admission to the event is free. Those who want to reserve a seat or want more information can call Elaine Jacobs Smith at 724-464-8390 or check out the Indiana County NAACP Facebook page.
