The IUP basketball teams made the tough trip to Gannon yesterday, where the women lost for the second straight time while the men pulled out a hard-fought win. Jack Benedict recaps the games.
Men’s coach Joe Lombardi says Gannon played hard and well, but IUP wasn’t sharp mentally.
Lombardi says the Crimson Hawks will need to be better for Saturday’s trip to UPJ.
Lombardi was especially unhappy with his team’s defense. IUP leads the nation in field goal percentage against, but Gannon shot 56 percent from the field.
Saturday’s doubleheader at UPJ begins with the women’s game at 1 o’clock. The airtime on 92.5 FM U92 and online at U92radio.com will be 12:45.
