State police are searching for the driver who struck another vehicle and fled the scene yesterday afternoon on Route 286 in Center Township.
Police say 70-year-old Dennis Lockard of Indiana escaped injury when his car was clipped by the offending driver, who was trying to pass from behind when Lockard signaled a left turn. Police conducted a canvas of the area but could not find the hit-and-run vehicle. They do not provide a description of it.
Police do not provide any identifications of the people involved in a three-vehicle collision yesterday morning in the parking lot of the Burrell Township Walmart store. A pickup truck driver scraped the right quarter-panel of a car as it was turning into the lot, then continued on and ran head-on into an SUV. No one was hurt and all three vehicles were able to be driven. The pickup driver was cited for failure to obey traffic signs.
