BOYS BASKETBALL
In a Heritage Conference boys matchup last night, Marion Center held off hard-charging Homer-Center. Todd Marino has the recap.
Dom Speal hit two free throws with 2.2 second left in overtime as River Valley edged West Shamokin, 46-44. Speal led the Panthers on the night with 18 points. For the Wolves, Brayden Rodgers scored 21 points and Sean McCullough had 10.
Northern Cambria upset Penns Manor, 49-42.
Cambria Heights shaded Purchase Line, 56-44
In the WPIAL, Indiana dropped a tight one to Knoch, 62-59. Derek Lang scored 17 points, including five three-pointers for the Knights. Stanford Webb and Gavin Homer each had 17 for Indiana and Trevor Todd scored 11.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Penns Manor crushed North Star, 60-24. Summer Fennell came off the bench and scored 17 points. Allie Mumau had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
WRESTLING
River Valley controlled Cambria Heights, 42-10, with wins recorded for the Panthers by Wyatt Taubler, Joel Micklow, Gage Pierce, Cole Stuchal, Carson Flickenger, Chase Stuchal, and Brad Miller. River Valley also won the Junior High match, 60-15.
RIFLE
Indiana’s rifle team lost to Butler, 798-59X to 776-34X. Indiana was led by Rylee Warfel, who shot 99-6X.
