The S&T Bank Arena is one of three ice rinks across the region that could receive $100,000 from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Reports say that the voting for the Penguins Foundation’s annual “Renovate The Rink” is now underway and the S&T Bank Arena is one of the finalists for the grant award. The other two arenas in contention are the Belmont Complex in Armstrong County and the Beaver County Ice Arena.
On top of recreational ice skating, the S&T Bank Arena ice rink is used for IUP and Indiana High hockey teams along with the Indiana Chiefs youth hockey and some in-house hockey teams as well.
Voting will run through March 9th. You can find the link to vote by clicking here.
