The Penguins scored three goals in the second period on their way to a 5-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings Sunday at PPG Paints Arena.
Patric Hörnqvist scored two goals and recorded an assist for three points. Matt Murray stopped 27 of 28 shots.
It was the final meeting between the two teams in this regular season. Pittsburgh won all three games, including a 5-3 win on December 7 and then a 2-1 win in overtime on January 17. The Pens have wins in five of their last six contests against Detroit.
