A second person has officially announced their candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the 62nd State House district race.
Dennis Semsick announced in a news release that he is seeking the nomination. He is a lifelong resident of Indiana County, and is a current resident of Pine Township. He worked for PennDOT for 35 years before retiring, and was a programming and planning manager during his time there. He said that if elected, he wants to help Indiana County’s middle class by reducing property taxes, supporting efforts that address “spread pricing” to lower prescription drug costs in the state, and bring jobs with living wages to the county.
Earlier this week, Laura Thomas announced her intention to run for the Democratic nomination for the state house seat. The primary election will be held on April 28th.
