Today is the start of tree limb collection for the fall season in Indiana Borough.
Dave Fairman of Indiana Borough’s Public Works Department said that there are qualifications for limb pickup. The limbs must be at least six inches in diameter and placed at the curb where you would normally place your trash.
Limb collection is going on this week in advance of leaf collection, which starts October 16th and goes through Thanksgiving. Leaf collection will go ward by ward as the Public Works department notices placement of leaves, which are to be raked up to the curb between the curb and sidewalk. This will be a rolling collection, and any leaves put out will be collected. Residents are asked not to bag leaves in this case.
