State police are seeking the public’s help in locating a Shelocta man who is wanted for possession with intent to deliver suspected crystal methamphetamine after an incident Sunday evening in White Township.
Police were summoned to an apartment complex along Roush Drive at about 7:35 PM for a report of an intoxicated man who was screaming and acting erratically in the parking lot. 29-year-old Frederick James Moran was taken into custody and transported to the Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment due to his apparent level of intoxication. After treatment, Moran was released as the police investigation continued, but they could not charge him until their investigation was complete. When police determined that charges were warranted, they were unable to locate him.
While on the scene, a state trooper discovered three individual bags of suspected crystal meth nearby, each of them labeled and packaged as if for sale. In addition to felony possession with intent to deliver, Moran was charged on Monday with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
Moran is white, about 5-feet-9-inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen in Indiana. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact state police at 357-1960.
