Indiana Regional Medical Center was selected by Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield with an honor as part of their Blue Distinction Specialty Care Program.
IRMC was named a Blue Distinction Center + (plus) for knee and hip replacement. Blue Distinction Centers are nationally designated healthcare facilities that show a commitment to delivering high quality patient safety and better health outcomes. In this case, IRMC demonstrated expertise in total knee and total hip replacement surgeries that resulted in fewer complications and readmissions.
Stephen Wolfe, the CEO of IRMC, said they were proud of the honors from Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He called it “a tribute to the dedicated team of physicians, nurses, technicians and therapists that are part of Indiana Regional Medical Center’s comprehensive program in hip and knee replacement surgery.”
