- State Trooper Benjamin Clauto watched video of a shoplifter at the White Township Walmart store and recognized the suspect from a previous incident. Clauto went to the home of a 35-year-old Homer City woman, who admitted that she stole a BB gun and a pack of Bic lighters. Total value of the stolen items was about $158. The incident happened last Thursday afternoon.
- State police in Indiana say they seized heroin and related drug paraphernalia last night when they entered the home of a Seward man while they were looking for another man. They went to the home at Third and Indiana streets in Saint Clair Township, Westmoreland County, searching for a man who had crashed his car in Indiana County and had fled. The home’s resident, 39-year-old James McGinnis, is facing drug charges. Police do not identify the man they were originally searching for.
- State police have charged 39-year-old Kelly Reedy of Indiana with retail theft for allegedly stealing a package of toilet paper from the Dollar General store, along Route 422 in Armstrong Township, last Thursday afternoon.
- 26-year-old Bradlee Ellis of Clymer has been charged with public drunkenness for causing a disturbance yesterday morning at a home along Old Route 56 in Armstrong Township. Police say he was under the influence of both alcohol and a controlled substance.
