Thieves stole six tailgates from pickup trucks parked at a West Wheatfield Township auto dealer on separate dates in the last two weeks. The tail gates went missing between 4 PM January 14th and 8 AM the next day, and between the same hours on January 20th and 21st.
Tailgates are targeted by thieves because of their after-market value. Police say each of the tailgates stolen from Lenz Auto, along Route 22, is valued at $250.
