An Indiana County woman is now in Indiana County Jail accused of shooting her boyfriend in the leg unintentionally.
State Police say that on Friday night, 37-year-old Jennifer Rose Neese of Commodore was driving on Route 286 in Montgomery Township with her boyfriend, who was not named in the media release. Around 10:45 PM, the two were in an argument, and she pulled over into the Purchase Line Elementary School parking lot. The two got out of the car and continued their argument. That’s when she pulled a loaded .380 caliber pistol out of her pocket, pointed it at the boyfriend, and accidentally fired the shot. The bullet went through the driver’s side door and hit him in the leg, causing a superficial wound.
The two got back in the car and drove to Neese’s home, where she called 911. Troopers took her into custody and they recovered the bullet and shell casing at the school. The man was treated at IRMC for his injury.
Neese was arraigned and put in jail with bond set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is set for October 12th. She has faced a judge before on a charge of criminal mischief from November of 2013.
