The Pitt Panthers football team won a wild Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl 37 to 35.
Pitt came from back from 14 points down late in the game to take the lead, but UCLA was able to score a touchdown and get the extra point to take a 35-34 lead late in the game. Pitt quarterback Nick Patti then used a combination of plays from his running corps and running the ball himself with 34 seconds left to complete bring the drive close enough for Ben Sauls to kick the game-winning field goal.
Patti was 20 of 41 for 232 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
The Panthers finish the season with nine victories against four defeats.
