The many entities that comprise the Indiana Area Collaborative Team come together this evening in a public forum to discuss the upcoming IUP Homecoming weekend.
I-ACT is made up of leaders from IUP, Indiana Borough, White Township, and Indiana County. It was originally formed three years ago to develop strategies to deal with disorderly gatherings and behaviors.
IUP’s Robin Gorman says community members are urged to bring their concerns to the meeting. “I always say in this meeting there is no dumb question, sincerely. And we want this to be the place where people are comfortable to come and ask about their concerns and get the right answers from the right people.”
I-ACT’s four subcommittees, representing the Landlords Association, law enforcement and EMS services, public relations, and the IUP Student Leadership Team, will all report, followed by a question-and-answer session.
The event will in a roundtable format, and Gorman would like you to RSVP to her if you plan to attend. You may do so be emailing rgorman@iup.edu, or by phoning 724-357-2410.
The briefing in the PNC Room at the Kovalchick complex is from 5:30 to 7 PM.
