Nine projects in Indiana County will receive funding from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
A total of $35,900 will be making its way to Indiana County from the organization that serves four counties. The Indiana-specific projects include:
- A technology upgrade for the Bolivar Fire department
- Subsidizing mental health and addiction recovery services for the Foundation for Christian Counseling
- Funding for Pathways Emergency Shelter temporary apartments through ICCAP
- The Indiana County Public Safety Academy
- A family care mobile resource center for Lifesteps
- An upgrade to the Seeds of Faith Christian Academy playground
- The Rural Technology Entrepreneurship program for local military personnel through the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center
- The Indiana Ark of Learning program through the Salvation Army
- A request for tools for the Blairsville fire department.
Grants range from $2000 to $5,000.
Including projects that encompass multiple counties, the foundation has awarded $314,935 to 90 projects during its fall 2022 round of grants.
