In Indiana County Court today, a number of defendants are scheduled to plead guilty and be sentenced for driving under the influence and related crimes. One will be sentenced for two DUI arrests. Another is a defendant in an unrelated homicide case.
31-year-old Joseph James Thompson of Blairsville will be sentenced for a DUI stop in October of last year and for another DUI in February of this year.
And in addition to his DUI case today, 29-year-old Matthew Ohler Jr. of Indiana has two other cases in the court system. He’s charged with conspiracy to homicide, conspiracy to aggravated assault, and two counts of conspiracy to reckless endangerment, in relation to the shooting death of a man and the wounding of a woman during the IUPattys event last March. Matthew McNevin of Rayne Township is charged with pulling the trigger in that case. Matthew Ohler also faces drug charges in a separate case from last March.
