Today is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a day that is set aside to pay tribute to the civil rights leader.
As today is a federal holiday, there are several closures in effect. Federal, state and local government offices are closed today. State liquor stores are open normal hours today. Indiana county’s public schools will not have classes today, and Marion Center and Blairsville-Saltsburg district offices are closed for the day, while other schools are open for a staff in-service day.
There will be no regular mail service today and post offices are closed. Many banks are also closed for the day.
