The Pirates continued adding to their roster on Tuesday.
ESPN insider Jeff Passan reports that the Pirates and LHP Rich Hill are in agreement on a one-year, $8 million deal for the 2023 season.
This will mark Hill’s 17th season in the MLB.
Hill, 42, went 8-7 with the Boston Red Sox last year. In 124 innings, Hill compiled a 4.27 ERA and 109 innings. Over his career, he’s put up a record of 82-59 with a 3.85 ERA.
The team has not officially announced the move yet. His deal is also pending a physical.
