The home IUP women’s and men’s basketball doubleheaders against Cal U remain scheduled for Saturday night despite winter weather in the forecast.
The IUP women tip off against the Vulcans at 5:30 p.m. at the Kovalchick Complex with the men’s game following at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen to the games, starting at 5 p.m., on U92.5 FM and streaming on U92radio.com.
Both games carry implications in the respective division races. The IUP women lead the PSAC West with a 10-0 league record while Cal U is currently third in the standings at 7-3. It will also be a top-25 matchup as the Crimson Hawks are No. 8 and the Vulcans are No. 20 in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II poll.
On the men’s side, IUP leads the division with a 9-1 conference record and Cal U is tied for third at 7-3.
These are the first meetings of the season between these two schools.
