State police are investigating a methamphetamine mystery in Buffington Township after receiving a tip on Monday about a meth manufacturing operation in the area of Lower Laurel Road.
A state trooper canvassed the area, which is near Vintondale, and discovered several plastic bags which indicated a methamphetamine dump site in the woods along the roadside. The State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team was summoned to the scene, and ended up processing 42 suspected one-pot vessels, 100 acid generators, and a variety of empty chemical containers.
No suspects have been publicly identified as the investigation moves forward.
As always, police urge anyone with information on suspected illegal drug activity to notify them or their local law enforcement. You may also anonymously call the toll-free 24-hour Drug Trafficking Tip Line at 1-877-PA-NODRUGS.
