The Pirates have avoided arbitration with Josh Bell, as he and the Pirates have come to terms on a $4.8 million contract, which is a more than 800 percent raise from his contract last season.
Bell and seven other Pirates agreed to one-year contracts, including Keone Kela, Trevor Williams, Joe Musgrove, Jameson Taillon, Michael Feliz, Chad Kuhl and Adam Frazier.
