The Center Township Supervisors approved the 2023 budget at a special meeting Wednesday morning.
Supervisors passed the budget that comes out to approximately $1.2 million and contains no tax increase for township residents. Property taxes remain at 1.3 mils, while the fire protection tax rate remained at .23 mils.
Supervisors Chairman Matthew Housholder said it was easy constructing next year’s budget.
Supervisors also passed a resolution to implement Act 57 of 2022, which prevents township residents from being penalized if they are late on property taxes.
The next regular meeting for the Center Township Supervisors will be Tuesday, January 3rd, which will be the annual reorganization meeting.
