It’s the first of three straight road games for the IUP basketball teams starting today at Slippery Rock.
The IUP women have moved up to No. 8 in the nation with a record of 12-1, while Slippery Rock is 3-10. Junior Justina Mascaro has been named PSAC West Athlete of the Week after averaging 21 points and 6.5 rebounds in the past two games.
The men are ranked No. 9 and sport an 11-1 record as they are set to play ” the Rock,” who are coming off a tough 94-93 buzzer-beating loss to California on Monday night. Slippery Rock checks in at 6-7.
IUP senior Chucky Humphries has been named PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week after averaging nine points with six blocks and four steals in wins over Lock Haven and Mercyhurst.
