The Pittsburgh Steelers had what was described a “chippy” practice before heading to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
While names were not mentioned by any players or coaching staff, it was clear there were some intra-squad skirmishes during the indoor practice session. Coming out of it though, Coach Mike Tomlin did not name a starting quarterback for this Sunday’s game. All he would confirm is that Kenny Pickett was once again a limited participant, as he continues going through concussion protocol. On the league mandated status report for Friday, Pickett was listed as doubtful. It’s not known if Mitch Trubisky or Mason Rudolph will start, or if it will be a division of labor at quarterback.
The Steelers play the Panthers Sunday, and you can hear the game on WDAD starting at noon with the pregame show.
