The Homer-Center Wildcat girls swim team won 76 to 71 on Friday night against the Ligonier Valley Rams for the first victory in program history. First place finishes were earned by Grace Frazer in the 100 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, Morgan Nagy in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, and Julia King in the 200 IM. These girls, along with Ava King, combined to win the 400 freestyle relay.
The Wildcat boys, with their strongest showing this season, lost to the Rams 71 to 39. Highlights for the boys include a 2nd place finish for Landon Shoup in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, and a 2nd place finish by Isaac Ditter in the 100 Freestyle. The relay team of Shoup, Ditter, Hunter Elias, and Oshen Maratitia won the 400 Freestyle Relay in record time.
The Wildcat Swimmers travel to Northern Cambria on Wednesday the 21st to take on Colts.
