INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are looking for someone who may have tried to burglarize a home on Gompers Avenue. Police say that sometime between 4:00 and 5:45 PM on Friday, someone forced open the front door of a home in the 500 block of Gompers, damaging the door in the process. No word if anything was taken. Police are looking for an adult male they are accusing of corrupting minors.
State Police say on September 1st, they were dispatched to the Indiana Senior High School in response to a report of several boys at the school who reported having contact with a man, who was not named by police, via social media contacts. The suspect is alleged to have unlawful contact with the boys via social media and at a location within the borough.

State Police are looking for damaging a mail box between Tuesday and Thursday of this week. The incident happened at the home of John J. Lautenbacher of Latrobe in Derry Township. About $100 worth of damage was done to the mail box. Call state police in Greensburg at 724-832-3288 if you have any information
An argument between kids turned into a case of aggravated assault. State Police from the Greensburg Barracks say an argument started between three boys, ages 14, 13 and 12 on Murtha Way in Derry Township when the 12 year old grabbed a box cutter and tried to stab the other two, then grabbed a toy and struck one of the victims with it. The 12 year old faces charges of aggravated assault. The names of those involved were not released due to the fact that they are minors.
