UPDATE: Details have come in concerning the fire last night in North Mahoning Township.
Indiana County 911 reported the fire was called in at 11:30 PM on Sunday. Marion Center, Perry Township and Rossiter fire departments were called out along with Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police. Gavin Misko of the Marion Center fire department confirmed that the fire was at the intersection of Bratton and Locust Lanes, and it was a single-wide trailer with a 10 by 10 addition to the front that caught fire. Both of the occupants were able to get out safely, but eight dogs and two cats passed away in the fire.
Crews arrived on the scene to find the trailer already engulfed in flames, and they were able to keep the fire from spreading to other structures. The home is a complete loss, mainly due to smoke and water damage.
