Indiana Borough police took a man into custody Monday morning after a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Water Street. Police were summoned to the scene and arrived to find 26-year-old Travis Kendrick outside the home, irate and in the process of smashing the driver’s side quarter panel of his vehicle.
Kendrick is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering, disorderly conduct, and harassment. He’s being held at the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $10,000 and a hearing scheduled October 2nd before District Judge Susanne Steffee. He has three other cases in the district court pipeline, for disorderly conduct, and two counts of harassment. He is also due for November Plea Court to answer a charge of driving under the influence.
Also from Indiana Borough police, there’s another report of a theft from a vehicle. Police were called Monday morning to the 700 block of Grant Street where the victim said that someone had stolen a black backpack from the front seat of her car. The backpack contained her cell phone, house key, and school supplies. It went missing between 4 PM Sunday and 7 AM Monday.
