The first day of the Teddy Bear Fund Drive collection week in Downtown Indiana was a resounding success.
On the first day of collections at the corner of 7th and Philadelphia streets, volunteers were able to bring in $4013 in donations. Renda Media and Digital regional vice president Mark Bertig said that he was happy with the first day’s results.
Collection efforts continue today as Your Hometown Radio Stations will broadcast from the window of the 700 Shop in Downtown Indiana through Friday. Those making a donation are encouraged to take a cookie from Giant Eagle and either coffee or hot chocolate from the Artist Hand Gallery. And there will be an opportunity to purchase a Teddy Bear Fund Drive teddy bear from Luxenberrg’s Jewelers for a minimum $15 donation.
