The United school board will meet tonight. On the agenda is a resolution concerning property taxes and the next school year.
On the proposed agenda for tonight’s meeting is a resolution to not raise taxes for the school district greater than the 5.9% rate that was calculated by the Pennsylvania department of education. The motion would not commit the board to raise property taxes.
Another resolution on the agenda tonight would direct the tax collectors for the United school district to waive additional charges for real estate taxes in certain situations beginning on or after January 1st of next year, provided the taxpayer satisfies the requirements that are set forth in the resolution.
The meeting starts at 7:30 tonight at the United School District boardroom.
