IUP will be the host site for one of three forums to be held across the state concerning road and bridge construction.
PennDOT will hold three construction diversity forums throughout the month of October. One is set for Cheyney University, a second at the Farm Show Complex and the one at IUP. The purpose of these forums will be to bolster involvement of disadvantaged businesses in transportation projects. Highway and Bridge construction contractors will join with Diverse Business and Disadvantaged Buisness Enterprise construction firms and their suppliers in these forums. In a news release, PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards says the forums will highlight the steps disadvantaged businesses can take to help fix roads and bridges throughout the state.
The IUP session will be held October 25th and will run from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. No word yet on where on campus the forum will be held. Attendees will need to register online to get in, and you can do so by logging on to www.surveymonkey.com/r/PennDOTconstructionForum
