The Indiana county Commissioners approved the budget for the 2020 year at their meeting Wednesday morning.
The budget that was approved was very similar to the one presented in November for advertisement, and contains no tax increases. Taxes will remain at 4.445 mils for Township residents. County Commissioner Sherene Hess said that over the next few years, things will be examined very closely.
In other business, the commissioners approved a letter of agreement with Robson Architectural Services for plans to renovate the former conservation district office at 350 North 4th Street to become the new office for District Judge Guy Haberl. The conservation district is getting ready to move to the ICTC grounds, and groundbreaking there will be held tomorrow.
Finally two proclamations were issued. One for Barbara Telhorster who is retiring after many years of service to the ARC of Indiana County.
