The 157th graduating class of state police cadets includes a newly-minted state trooper from Indiana County.
Friday’s graduating class had six members who were assigned to Troop A in Greensburg, including Robert V. Martin III of Indiana County. Troop A has five stations: Indiana, Cambria, Somerset, Greensburg, and Kiski Valley.
The release does not say to which station Martin is assigned.
One of the new troopers assigned to Troop A, Shawn Vigne of Cambria County, won the Sergeant Charles B. Gesford Award for scoring the highest on the pistol range.
