A recent charity drive to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas turned out to be very successful.
Over the last two weeks, McNaughton Brothers Moving and Storage have been collecting items to send to the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Bob Shively said that one truck left earlier this week, and as of Friday, they have enough to nearly fill a second truck.
The amount of goods collected well exceeded a similar effort to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. But with Hurricane Irma almost on the Florida coast, Shively said that there may be another collection effort to help those in Florida.
Response for this collection drive went beyond Indiana County’s borders as people and groups from neighboring counties also contributed to the McNaughton Brothers campaign.
