BOYS BASKETBALL
Conemaugh Valley nipped Marion Center, 54-53. Dakota Bracken scored 14 for the Stingers. Kamden Rozier and Evan Risnger each had 13.
West Shamokin topped Apollo Ridge 44-32 as Devin Hatch-Cousins scored 16, Sean McCullough 15, and Brayden Rogers 13 for the Wolves. Jacob Mull scored 16 for the Vikings.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Heritage Conference season tips off tonight with a number of games, including Marion Center at defending conference champ Homer-Center; West Shamokin at River Valley; Purchase Line at Cambria Heights; Penns Manor at Northern Cambria. Portage welcomes Windber in a non-conference game.
WRESTLING
Indiana was defeated by Butler, 60-18, in their season opener. Winners for Indiana included Nico Fanella, Carter Putt, Will Turner, Kevin Liu, and Joel Romance. They’ll be back on the mat tonight at Armstrong.
