IUP men’s basketball moved up to No. 2 in the NABC rankings, the team announced yesterday. This came just a day after forward Tomiwa Sulaiman was named PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second straight week.
IUP remains in the second spot in the D2SIDA poll.
Meanwhile, the women’s team moved up to No. 14 in the D2SIDA poll while maintaining the top spot in the Atlantic Region poll.
Both teams are off this week and return to action Sunday at the KCAC.
PITT BASKETBALL
The PITT Panthers return to action tonight in search of their sixth straight win as they face the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road. Vandy is 4-4 on the season and is coming off a slim 65-62 win over Wofford on Saturday.
Tip-off for tonight’s game is nine o’clock. You can hear the game beginning at 8:30 p.m. on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160.
