WHITE TOWNSHIP
State police say an Indiana man was injured Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Miller Avenue, near North Street. That’s on the northern end of Chevy Chase. Police say 40-year-old Curtis McAvoy lost control of his vehicle on a left-hand curve, riding up a mound of dirt and striking a tree. Police say he then fled the scene and is charged with accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property. They also say he suffered suspected minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP
State police are investigating the theft of an ATV from a home in Cherryhill Township. A woman living along Mitchell Hill Road reported the blue-and-white 1999 Yamaha Breeze four-wheeler from a shed on her property. Police say the ATV did not run and was towed from the scene by another off-road vehicle.
