Three defendants are scheduled for sentencing in Indiana County Court, and there are a number of Plea Court proceedings on the court agenda today as well.
Among those to be sentenced is 35-year-old James Crossman of Beyer, who pleaded guilty to two felony counts: indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old and corruption of minors. The charges were filed in April of this year after an investigation that began in March. The crime occurred in 2015. Crossman is a repeat offender. In 2017 he pleaded guilty to indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old for offenses that occurred in 2011.
29-year-old Robert Paige Smith of Homer City will be sentenced for conspiracy to theft in a burglary case.
32-year-old April Duncan of Seward will be sentenced for retail theft.
28-year-old Zackary Snyder of Big Run, Jefferson County, will appear in Plea Court today to answer charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor for sexual offenses, and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old. The case dates to the fall of 2016.
63-year-old Adalberto Gracian II of Cherry Tree will plead to charges of corruption of minors and three counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old.
26-year-old Matraca Vrana of Northern Cambria will enter pleas today to charges of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was in a hotel room in Burrell Township in July when a shooting occurred involving David McGinnis and Justin Libengood. The cases against McGinnis and Libengood are in process in the county court system.
32-year-old Elyse Zak of Indiana will plead to multiple charges in a methamphetamine case.
