An informational hearing was held Thursday afternoon at the PA Careerlink office concerning the Southwest Pennsylvania Commission’s long-range transportation plan and other topics.
Conversation started with a presentation on the SPC’s long-range plan and why the Commission wants public input on the initiative. Dominic Dandrea with the SPC said that there are some efforts that are not financially possible, so the public’s help is needed in determining what needs done at the moment.
A series of engagement activities followed. One was having guests rank their urgent matters in order from most to least pertinent, in which PennDOT and SPC will consider moving forward. The highly-requested options will be considered “candidate projects” and then investment plans will be made, according to SPC’s Ryan Gordon.
SPC is highly encouraging public input on the matter. Residents can voice their suggestions by contacting the SPC using the link found here, or via social media.
