The Penguins return to action tonight as they host the Carolina Hurricanes at PPG Paints Arena.
Coach Mike Sullivan and his squad skated at the historic Hunt Armory in Shadyside yesterday afternoon, and the coach said it was a unique experience.
There was only one change to the Penguins depth chart. Winger Kasperi Kapanen slotted in on the third line in place of Danton Heinen. No word on why he was replaced.
Carolina comes in 1-3 in its past four games with the losses coming against Arizona, Boston and Winnipeg. The Hurricanes are third in the Metro Division at 11-6-5, while the Penguins are just behind them at 11-8-3.
Airtime for tonight’s game is 6 p.m. on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com.
