The Marion Center school board will hold a combined work session and voting meeting tonight.
On the agenda are some personnel hirings, especially in the Nutrition Services Department as two employees are expected to be hired, along with the resignation of Jennifer Walker from that same department. The board will also look at approving Ron Oswald as a volunteer wrestling coach.
The board will also formally approve the second readings of several policies, including admission of students, membership, attendance, withdrawal from school, student expression and posting materials, tobacco and nicotine, family and medical leaves, food services and fundraising by school-related organizations. The board will also look at policy concerning reduction of staff, which was formerly called suspensions and furlough.
The meeting starts tonight at 7:00 at the Marion Center school complex.
